Grocery Store Employees Detain Suspect Until Police Arrival; Arrest Made For Larceny and Assault

Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Marvin Flores Cruz, 40, of no fixed address, for larceny and assault.

According to police, “On February 16 at approximately 6:32 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Aldi’s) for the report of a larceny and assault that had just occurred. Upon police arrival, Cruz was being detained by employees at the establishment.  Cruz was armed with a knife, which the employees managed to disarm and secure before police intervention.

Police Chase Involving a Stolen Truck Ends in Montgomery County; Driver Hits Multiple Vehicles and Drives Into Oncoming Traffic

A police chase in that began in Beltsville, MD in Prince George’s County and involved a stolen roadside assistance truck, ended in the area of Burnt Mills Park in White Oak on Friday evening when the driver was taken into custody.
