A Gaithersburg man has pleaded guilty in federal court to a wide-ranging fraud and identity theft scheme involving stolen identities, SNAP benefits, and passport fraud.

Officers were dispatched at 7:08 p.m. to the 400 block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg following a report of a shooting, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
