Maryland State Police arrested a 24-year-old Howard County woman Monday night after authorities say she rammed a Virginia State Police patrol vehicle and led officers on a pursuit from Virginia into Prince George’s and Howard counties before crashing and fleeing on foot.
A Damascus man is in custody following a lengthy standoff that stretched into the early morning hours Tuesday.
Nearly 50 vehicles were broken into overnight in Ellicott City and Columbia, prompting a large police response that ultimately ended with suspects on the run and a high-tech search involving a drone and thermal imaging.

A 19-year-old driver was arrested Monday after an erratic driving incident in Germantown escalated into a short police pursuit during which the vehicle struck multiple vehicles, including a police cruiser, and attempted to strike an officer on foot. (more…)
