The Washington Commanders beat the Tennessee Titans 42-19 on Sunday, getting back on track after a three game losing streak. The Commanders are now 8-5 and would be in the playoffs if they were to start today. Next week is their bye with the New Orleans up next after that. After a 7-2 start, the Washington Commanders have lost three straight heading into today’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Yesterday, they made some major moves, releasing 2023 1st round draft pick Emmanuel Forbes Jr., and today they made another move that shows what the current regime thinks of Ron Rivera’s draft picks.

The RFK bill, which would allow DC to take control of federal land (the site of RFK stadium) has successfully passed the committee vote with a score of 17-2– marking an important, but not final milestone. The site remains in play as the Washington Commanders search for a site for their new stadium.

U.S. Soccer announced a historic gift today for its women’s and girls’ soccer programs from businesswoman, team owner, and women’s sports advocate Michele Kang. Kang has pledged to give U.S. Soccer, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, $30 million dollars over the next five years which is the largest philanthropic investment in U.S. Soccer’s women’s and girls’ programs and the most generous donation ever made to U.S. Soccer by a woman, according to a Washington Spirit press release.

Following Sunday’s thrilling comeback victory over Bay FC in front of a sellout crowd at Audi Field, the Washington Spirit will host rival NJ/NY Gotham FC on Saturday, November 16 at 12 p.m. EST in the club’s semifinal match, presented by Alarm.com.
