Not only did his impressive showing on Monday night earn him the award, but it also earned him some praise from New York Jets quarterback and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.
Earlier this month the Washington Spirit signed rookie Makenna Morris to a new one-year contract through the 2025 season. Morris, who was born and raised in Germantown, MD and grew up playing for Bethesda Soccer Club, joined the Spirit on a one-year deal earlier this year after being selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft.

The Washington Commanders have released their initial 53-man roster, which is subject to change as the team could sign free agents released by other teams and release additional players. In a statement to the public, shared by Ben Standig on X, the Washington Commanders have made the decision to remove the Sean Taylor installation that they unveiled in November 2022.
