Ramen by Uzu, renowned for being one of the best ramen restaurants in the area according to The Washington Post, has expanded from its original location inside Union Market to include an additional location at 3210 Grace St NW in Georgetown. Chef Hiro Mitsui, the culinary mind behind Uzu and a resident of Silver Spring, has expressed his ambition to open a location in Montgomery County soon.

The future of the Commanders stadium at the RFK site in Washington, DC, is currently in the hands of the DC Council, and they’re not in a hurry. Today, the two sides met at Cafe Milano to discuss the possible move, and Julie Donaldson reports that the DMV’s very own Wale was present at the meeting.

Eater DC has recently updated its list of “Best Pizza Places in DC” and the list includes four standout restaurants that can be found in Maryland. Metro has announce led the launch of its new bus network, the first comprehensive overhaul of the Metrobus system since 1973, on Sunday, June 29. “This transformative initiative will deliver more frequent, reliable, and user-friendly bus service to communities across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, aligning with the region’s evolving travel needs.” This coincides with The Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s (MCDOT) launch of its major overhaul of the Ride On bus system.

Starting last night, Friday, June 27, crews began to implement the first of two traffic shifts of all four lanes on southbound I-495 (Beltway Outer Loop) within the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project area. This first phase shifts southbound I-495 lanes from just north of George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP) to just south of Georgetown Pike onto newly constructed lanes on the outer section of the highway. Work began Friday night, with all southbound lanes in this section of the Beltway reopened in their new alignment by 10 a.m. this morning (Saturday, June 28). Delays extended onto I-270 in Maryland.

A Washington Commanders spokesperson has released a statement after DC Council chairman Phil Mendelson proposed pulling the Commanders stadium deal from the upcoming budget.
