Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a vehicle collision early this morning in the 14900 block of McKnew Road near Silver Ash Court in Burtonsville. The incident involved a vehicle striking a parked car and subsequently rolling onto its side.
Jeffrey’s Subs & Pizza at 15547 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville, which operated as Jerry’s Subs & Pizza for three decades before rebranding in 2020, has closed permanently. The contents of the restaurant will be auctioned off next week.

Burtonsville is bidding farewell to two local icons: Burt the Inflatable Mattress Man and the big red barn that has long been a part of the community’s landscape.
