The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating two separate incidents that occurred in Fairland on Wednesday, November 19: a non-life-threatening shooting of an adult male who reported being shot near Aston Manor Drive, and a homicide in which 20-year-old Jadyn Mekhi Brown was found dead with gunshot wounds nearby. Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken is officially moving forward with its newest Montgomery County location. Last November, we shared that the fast-growing franchise planned to open at 13811 Outlet Drive in the Briggs Chaney Marketplace shopping center. The restaurant has now secured its permit to begin construction, bringing it one step closer to opening day.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects connected to a reported theft at an Ulta Beauty store on Columbia Pike in Burtonsville. Detectives from the 3rd District Patrol Investigations Unit released surveillance images of the individuals and are seeking information that may help identify them. (more…)

This month marks four years since Seibel’s Family Restaurant at 15540 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville closed its doors, ending more than 82 years of serving the community. The longtime local favorite, which officially closed on Sunday, November 28, 2021, was known for its homestyle meals like prime rib and meatloaf, but perhaps most famously for its homemade ice cream and fresh baked pies that drew loyal customers from across the region.
