Montgomery Parks will launch a new street festival this spring on Sligo Creek Parkway between Dennis Avenue and University Boulevard called the Sligo Creek Fest. It will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 11am until 3pm.

For the second year, the Downtown Silver Spring Chalk Fest is returning to Ellsworth Drive on Saturday May 4th, from 10am until 4pm.
Students in the Montgomery County Students Automotive Trades Foundation (ATF) and Information Technology Foundation (ITF) will sell used cars and computers they have refurbished from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Thomas Edison High School of Technology/Foundations Office, 12501 Dalewood Drive in Silver Spring.
Big Bounce America, the largest touring inflatable event in the entire world, is returning to Maryland. “We’ve created an action-packed day out suitable for all ages and featuring some of the most unique and exciting custom-built inflatable attractions ever made.” Starting May 25th and going until June 9th, you’ll be able to attend at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington (Prince George’s County).
The Pike Central Farm Market opens for the 2024 season on Saturday, April 27th. The Market hosts a wide variety of vendors and is conveniently located in the parking lot next to Bark Social at 935 Prose Street in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade takes place this Saturday in Washington, DC. The event will be hosted by WJLA7 News personalities and will feature appearances by The Bachelorette’s Charity Lawson, “Special Guests” Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, along with musical performances by the Sugarhill Gang and American Idol finalist Colin Stough. The Montgomery Department of Transportation is inviting all MCPS families to Safety Day on Saturday, May 11 in the Carver Educational Services Center (CESC) parking lot in Rockville.
The third annual “Project Prom Dress” giveaway will take place this Saturday, April 13, in Burtonsville. The event provides new or gently used dresses, suits, shoes, jewelry and other items to students in need.
