Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to an electric vehicle fire in a parking garage located at Rockville Town Square, 300 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, near Beall Avenue off Rockville Pike. Rt. 355 is shut down at the intersection.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “A Montgomery County Grand Jury has indicted 23-year-old Byron Bautista Turcios, 23, of Beltsville, MD, on charges stemming from a fatal collision that killed 19-year-old Amelia Nicole Hobart of Poolesville. UPDATE: “Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injury. I-495 WB (Outer Loop) past MD-187 (Exit 36). Mont Co, MD. All OL lanes are blocked. Traffic is diverted to I-270. Delays begin before MD-355. The ramp from MD-355 northbound to the OL is also blocked. An extended closure is expected”
