On Wednesday evening, at approximately 9 PM, officers from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 4D Specialized Unit observed a suspect attempting to open vehicle doors near the intersection of Amherst Avenue and University Boulevard in Wheaton, according to a social media post by District 4 Commander David Smith.

MCPS has announced that Jeffrey Sullivan, systemwide athletics director, is this year’s recipient of the prestigious Dr. Edward Shirley Award for Excellence in Educational Administration and Supervision.
