Montgomery County is increasing the 2025 Voluntary Rent Guideline (VRG) to 3.3 percent, up from 2.6 percent in 2024, to reflect changes in the rental component of the Consumer Price Index. Montgomery County government is reminding businesses and residents that the county’s minimum wage will increase by 50 cents on July 1, adjusting for inflation as required by county law.
