The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared that its Special Victims Investigations Division executed a residential search warrant in the 17500 block of Amity Drive in Gaithersburg this morning. Per police, “The investigation has no connection with immigration status or the enforcement of immigration laws.”

Girls on the Run of Montgomery County’s GOTR FilmFest 2025 will take place on Thursday, February 27, at the Suburban Hospital Auditorium in Bethesda, featuring the films Little Giant, Sports: The Unequal Divide, and Finding Traction, while raising funds to support scholarships, running shoes, and coach training for its youth programs.

On Friday, January 17, a double homicide in Rockville claimed the lives of Marcell Jordan Hebron, 26, known in the music industry as Lil Xelly, and 27-year-old Leilani Marroquin. In the wake of this incident, the community has come together to support the grieving families, launching a GoFundMe fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses.
