Teams from 25 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) high schools took the floor for the 37th Annual Cheerleading Competition on October 25 at Montgomery Blair High School. Squads were evaluated on the level of difficulty, technique, and execution of their routines, performances that featured everything from synchronized choreography to high-flying stunts and crowd-pumping spirit. Montgomery County’s Commission on Remembrance and Reconciliation will hold a community town hall on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Montgomery College’s Cultural Arts Center in Takoma Park/Silver Spring to discuss what reconciliation means to residents as part of its Beyond the Marker series.
