Maryland State Police arrested a 24-year-old Howard County woman Monday night after authorities say she rammed a Virginia State Police patrol vehicle and led officers on a pursuit from Virginia into Prince George’s and Howard counties before crashing and fleeing on foot.

Maryland State Police have made four arrests in connection with a triple murder and house fire in Clear Spring earlier this month, including one suspect who was taken into custody in Montgomery County. The investigation, which authorities say is active and expected to result in additional arrests, stems from a deadly November 18 incident that left three people dead inside a home on National Pike.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has announced the arrest of Cory Thomas Burkhardt, 37, of Idlewylde, Maryland, following a lengthy vehicle pursuit that began in Frederick County and continued into Montgomery County. Additional information can be found here.

An incident shut down I-270 on Friday afternoon and into the evening after a collision forced the closure of all lanes at MD 121 (Clarksburg Road).


Maryland State Police arrested three men from Prince George’s and Charles counties and seized multiple firearms following a Maryland Car Rally Task Force investigation tied to an illegal car rally involving about 300 people in the Baltimore Metro Region on June 29, 2025. Search warrants executed on September 3 led to additional firearm seizures, and the suspects face various charges related to unlawful vehicle use, firearm possession, and ammunition violations.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating an early Sunday double stabbing that occurred at approximately 2:34am on Sunday in the 19500 block of Amaranth Drive in Germantown, where multiple juvenile male suspects reportedly brandished BB guns and two adult men sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
