White’s Ferry owners Chuck and Stacy Kuhn have offered to donate the ferry business and assets, valued at $4.5 million, to Loudoun County, VA after Montgomery County recently declined a similar offer, as part of their ongoing effort to reopen the historic Potomac River crossing. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has a project to replace the Cattail Road Bridge No. M-0491. The existing bridge, constructed in 1975, is in poor condition. MCDOT is working proactively to replace the bridge before it becomes a safety hazard.
