Rockville’s King Farm neighborhood is seeing some revitalization with new tenants signing on to join mainstays like Safeway, Nagoya Sushi, Fontina Grille, and Botanero. Below you’ll see a list of recently opened and coming soon tenants to the shopping center (as of January 2024):
On Jan. 23, at 5:30pm, Montgomery County Public Schools in partnership with Asian American Health Initiative, Montgomery County Government (DHHS) will have a brief movie screening of the film, Silent Wars, followed by reflection from one of the individuals in the film, and a moderated panel discussion at Wootton High School.
Earlier this month we let you know of the first baby in our area born in 2024 at White Oak Medical Center at 12:37am. We recently received information about the first baby born at Shady Grove Hospital in 2024, though this baby chose to sleep in a little.
Shady Grove Medical Center has received a generous gift from the Ronald and Joy Paul Family Foundation for a state-of-the-art replacement Intensive Care Unit. The ICU, currently under construction within a new patient tower at the hospital, will be named The Ron and Joy Paul Family Intensive Care Unit once in service.
Ann Taylor Factory is opening a new store in Federal Plaza on Rockville Pike. Founded in 1993, “Ann Taylor Factory offers unique, high-quality designs at an incredible value including suits, dresses, tops, pants, accessories and so much more in over 100 stores nationwide.”
One Medical, a membership-based primary care practice, is coming to North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. It will be occupying a 5,133 SF space on the corner of Meeting St. and Rockville Pike, in the newest Pike & Rose building (915 Meeting St).

Per Montgomery County: “Sweet Honey In The Rock, the internationally acclaimed and three-time Grammy Award-nominated performance ensemble rooted in African American history and culture, will perform at Montgomery County’s 29th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr birthday and celebration at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda. The County will commemorate the group’s 50th anniversary with a proclamation. Several members of the group are Montgomery County residents. (more…)
