National Lumber Company, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s oldest family-owned building material suppliers, announced on Wednesday the acquisition of Fisher Lumber (525 E Gude Dr.) in Rockville, Maryland.

The 2025 Taiwan Bubble Tea Festival will take place this Saturday, September 20 from 10am until 4pm at Rockville Town Square.
Metro is proposing changes to Rockville’s Twinbrook Station’s transit facilities to enable joint development, create a transit plaza, and increase ridership. The proposed changes include the removal of the 164-space Park & Ride surface lot and the relocation of the bus loop and Kiss and Ride facilities on the west side of the site to accommodate future development.
This past spring we let you know that Fork & Kitchen signed on to open at 150 Gibbs St. in The Square (formerly Rockville Town Square). K BAP Express is now serving customers at 121B Congressional Lane, in the space that was most recently home to Pines of Rome Express. the carry-out and delivery focused offshoot of the beloved Bethesda Italian restaurant Closed its doors after less than two years in business.

Rockville has a new late-night spot for kebab lovers. Yuxaflame, located at 1488 Rockville Pike A (outside of Hulu Skewers), is now open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. nightly, serving up a short but flavorful menu of just three dishes (video below).

Back in December 2023, we let you know that Aloha Poke, a Chicago-based poke restaurant chain, signed on to open its first Maryland location in Rockville’s King Farm neighborhood. Signage went up in the windows of the space at 800 Pleasant Dr. #100 in the spring of 2024, but there was never any additional movement. Now, it has been confirmed that Aloha Poke will not open, with a new tenant lined up.

Ba Le, an upcoming Vietnamese eatery, has set an official opening date for its new Rockville location. The restaurant will open its doors on Thursday, September 25, at 765 Rockville Pike, Suite F-G, in the Ritchie Center.
