The Lady Vintner will hold its soft opening on Saturday, April 19. The wine bar is located on the lower level of the BLVD Forty Four high-rise apartment tower at 42 Maryland Ave in Rockville. It is be taking over the space previously occupied by Pour Vino N Hops.
Big Papi’s Tacos is currently in its soft opening phase at 201 E Middle Ln in Rockville Town Center (the former home of Domoishi/Asian Food Hall), until its grand opening on Saturday, May 3rd. Our very own Mr. MoCo stopped by to support the restaurant and has shared a preview video that can be seen below.
Last year we reported on MoMo Hub, a restaurant that first opened in Clarksville, MD in 2022, expanding with a second location at Commas Food Hall in Ellsworth Place, Silver Spring (8661 Colesville Rd.). Roaming Rooster, a local restaurant chain more than a dozen restaurants in the DC Metro area, is in the soft opening phase at its third Montgomery County restaurant at 8537 Georgia Ave. in Downtown Silver Spring– the space that was previously home to Flip’d by IHOP.
Passport Juices, a new juice bar founded by four brothers with roots in Jamaica, has officially opened its doors at Solaire Social, located at 8200 Dixon Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Passport Juices has taken over the stall previously occupied by SOKO Oysters.
Vera Bradley Outlet has opened at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets, marking the only current Vera Bradley store in Montgomery County.
Sisters Sandwiches & Such, a local sandwich shop known for its Olney location at 16834 Georgia Avenue that opened in 2010, has expanded with a new location at 4520 East West Highway in Bethesda, taking over the former Perfect Pita space. (more…)

In January 2024, we let you know that Mezeh Mediterranean Grill was coming to 18129 Town Center Dr in Olney. After more than a year, signage has now gone up in the windows as construction is set to begin on the interior of the restaurant.
