In October we let you know that Kusshi Sushi officially signed on to take over the space that was home to popular sushi restaurant Sushi Damo at 36G Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. Sushi Damo, one of the first tenants of Rockville Town Square, closed permanently on October 1st.

Peter and Lisa Lim are celebrating 25 years in business in Montgomery County and 40 overall. They are the dynamic duo behind Montgomery Custom Taylor, one of Montgomery Mall’s longest run locally-owned operators.
Life shouldn’t be about views, likes, and shares, but this article will be as we take a look back at the upcoming restaurants scheduled to open in Montgomery County in 2024 that have created the most buzz on our website and associated social media accounts (listed alphabetically):
Montgomery County’s only Baja Fresh restaurant, located at 302 King Farm Blvd. Unit 150, has been open for business since 2000. The owner tells us he has just signed a new lease to remain in King Farm, and will put over $150,000 into renovations starting this January.
Craft Beer & Wine is opening soon at 4459 Willard Ave. in Chevy Chase. The location is close to the Friendship Heights Metro station and a few blocks from Maryland’s border with DC.
Earlier this month Eater DC released its list of “Essential Chinese Restaurants Around DC” and several Montgomery County restaurants made the list, including one that hasn’t opened yet (kind of). Don’t worry, we’ll explain.
J. Chow’s, the “California Chicken Salad Place” located inside of the Montgomery Mall dining terrace, has closed.
