A new spot for pool, late-night hang-outs, and casual food has opened in Burtonsville. Real Billiards opened last month at 15454 Old Columbia Pike, right next to Chicken Basket, adding another entertainment option to the area.
Popping up in different locations within the city of Columbia, Namit Filipino BBQ is a food truck that is brining traditional Filipino grilled meats and other classic Filipino fare to the greater Columbia area. Mr. 8 That recently visited the food truck on a weeknight outside of Black Flag Brewery; one of Namit’s consistent weekly locations.
Just Salad is continuing its rapid expansion across the DMV with another new location planned just outside of Montgomery County, this time in Friendship Heights.

BurgerFi at 11881 Grand Park Ave in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose has permanently closed. The locations in Gaithersburg (Rio Lakefront) and Downtown Silver Spring will remain open. (more…)

Go Fresh 365, the Chinese and Asian supermarket chain, is now open at 1800 Rockville Pike in Rockville, taking over the former Safeway space at The Galvan at Twinbrook (photos below).
Goodwill is set to take over the Rockville space that was most recently home to Planet Aid in the Montrose Shopping Center (the longtime home of MOM’s Organic Market).
Dave’s Hot Chicken has officially posted its opening date for its long-anticipated Rockville Pike location. A sign now posted on the front door of the restaurant at 11564 Rockville Pike states that the location is closed for training and will open on Thursday, December 18.
