Taco Bar El Güero, located at 10003 B Fields Rd in Gaithersburg, boasts a rich history as a family-owned establishment since 2003. Originally launched in a gas station, the business took over a sandwich deli and beer and wine store and transformed it into a beloved Mexican food destination. Now, over two decades later, this popular restaurant is relocating, albeit just a short distance away.
Claire’s is no longer running a store closing sale at its location at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. According to a store representative, staff were instructed to remove the signage over the weekend. (more…)
South Mountain Creamery Ice Cream Shop & Pizza (50 Citizen’s Way Suite 101) has announced that it will be closing its doors on August 24, 2025 after eight years in Downtown Frederick.
A new family-owned bagel shop and cafe is set to join Bethesda’s culinary scene this fall at Montgomery Mall. Esvin’s Bagels and Cafe expects to open its doors this fall, in approximately two months, bringing freshly baked bagels and more to the community. The cafe will be located on the lower level across from Kapow Buddy, near the Old Navy and Cheesecake Factory area.
Cheesy Pizzi, located at 8021 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, has permanently closed its doors. The closure marks the end of an era for the local eatery, which began as Pizza Tempo according to its website.
The highly acclaimed No Regrets Pizza has officially signed a lease to expand its operations at its current location within Harwood Flats. The pizzeria, which opened in May 2024, will be taking over the vacant space directly behind their existing establishment, paving the way for some exciting improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Bao Bei, the popular Taiwanese street food concept, is gearing up for the grand opening of its first brick-and-mortar restaurant on Wednesday, August 27th. This exciting news comes after the closure of its successful ghost kitchen at 11910 Parklawn Drive on August 1st, which served the community for three years.

Back in January we let you know that bartaco signed on to open its first Maryland location at 11886 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. The restaurant has received a permit valued at $1.12 million and has started to work on renovating the space, according to Maryland Newsletters.
