Imagine walking into a Chick-fil-A and seeing burgers, pizza, and bone-in wings on the menu. Now imagine that this place exists in only one location in the entire United States, right near the University of Maryland.

Bitez, a restaurant specializing in halal cuisine, has closed the location it opened in July at 13525 Clopper Road in Germantown’s Seneca Plaza, near Mamma Lena and Rio Grande. The restaurant has shared that it plans to move to a new nearby location in the future, but an address or date is not yet available.
Austin Grill, the longtime Tex-Mex brand that once had a strong presence across the DMV, will celebrate its return with a grand opening on Tuesday, Feb. 4, in Sterling, Virginia, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page and website.
In 2023, The Washington Post ranked Steeze Burger as the number 1 burger in the DMV (DC Metro Area). Founded by Laytonsville resident Hunter Karametos, Steeze Burger launched as a pop-up in 2022 after Karametos spent nearly a year sampling more than 150 burgers as part of his research.
