In April, Biz Journals reported that Unibal-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) had defaulted on a roughly $235 million securitized loan tied to Westfield Wheaton, the largest mall in suburban Maryland (DC Region) and the fourth largest in the Greater Washington area. We’ve all heard of New York and Chicago style pizza, but we have our own style of pizza here in Maryland. As we discussed in our inaugural podcast back in 2014 due to our very own Mr. MoCo’s enthusiasm for this type of pizza, Maryland-style pizza is characterized by its rectangular shape, biscuity crust, sweet tomato sauce, and smoked provolone cheese.

Bethesda’s dining scene has a new flavor with the  opening of Tasty Grills & Catering, an Afghan restaurant that has taken over the space formerly occupied by Fortune Cookie, Banana Leaves Asian Cafe, and North China Restaurant. Located at 7816 Old Georgetown Road, the new establishment promises to bring a rich culinary heritage to the heart of the community.
