The Daily Dish, a Silver Spring neighborhood bistro and bar, will celebrate its 15th anniversary in Silver Spring this month. The restaurant opened in 2009 and is the first Montgomery County restaurant from restaurateur and chef Jerry Hollinger.

Last October we let you know that Kusshi Sushi officially signed on to take over the space that was home to popular sushi restaurant Sushi Damo at 36G Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square for over 15 years. According to co-owner Wesley Yao, the restaurant is aiming for an early July opening.
Back in January we let you know that Chipotle signed on as a tenant at the renovated Burtonsville Crossing shopping center. The fast food restaurant will be joining the longstanding Burger King and the coming soon Moby Dick and Eggspectation at the shopping center and is listed as taking the longtime vacant, former KFC/Taco Bell space.
Back in October we let you know that Moby Dick House of Kabob signed on to join the redeveloped Burtonsville Crossing shopping center. Construction has progressed and the restaurant appears ready to open very soon, though an exact date is not yet available (photo below).
Dave’s Hot Chicken, the hot chicken restaurant chain based in California, will be opening its second Maryland location and first in Montgomery County at the upcoming White Oak Town Center (12345 Columbia Pike). Construction has begun and photos can be seen below.

African Restaurant, at 13075 Wisteria Dr, is officially opening on Sunday, June 2 in the Germantown Plaza shopping center.

Underground Pizza Co. (UPC) at 8235 Georgia Ave in Silver Spring has announced it will permanently close on June 3rd. The restaurant opened in the space previously occupied by Olazzo in February 2022.
Dirty Dough is coming to 36B Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. The cookie shop will be taking over the location that was the longtime home of Berry Cup, next to the vacant space that’s wrapped in HalfSmoke signage (presumably no longer coming to Rockville Town Square). Berry Cup Closed in the summer of 2022.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe, which has Montgomery County locations in Aspen Hill , Bethesda, Burtonsville, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville, Silver Spring, and White Oak, is offering a free smoothie on Wednesday 29th between 2pm-7pm.
