For over five years, Windridge Vineyards (15700 Darnestown Rd.) has been celebrated for its breathtaking views and tranquil ambiance, becoming a popular gathering spot for locals. Starting March 1st, when the winery reopens after its Winter Break, it will implement a 21+ service model, marking a new chapter in its offerings.


Kamran “Cam” Makki, owner of Mackie’s Barbecue, announced that the restaurant would be closing its Clarksburg, Frederick, and Olney locations effective January 10th as the business focuses on growing its catering and online delivery business.

Mykonos, a Rockville staple for decades, will be opening a new restaurant in Potomac’s Cabin John Village. The restaurant will be taking over the space that was occupied by Broadway Pizza until the end of 2021 and though an opening timeframe is not yet available, we now expect it to be in the coming months.

Each year, the Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM) presents annual awards for various “front of house” and “back of house” positions. This year, Chef Gregory Webb of Laperaux Bistro in Germantown is Montgomery County’s only finalist for the ‘Chef of the Year’ award. Webb was also nominated in 2024. (more…)
