Green Bamboo Asian Bistro, located at 5751 Fishers Ln. in Rockville, MD, has permanently closed its doors. Known for its relaxed, family-run ambiance, the bistro delighted diners with an array of Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes. One of its most celebrated attractions was the popular weekend special– 50% off sushi. A new restaurant will soon be taking its place.
In the summer of 2019, we announced that Bear Brick Oven Pizza would take over the old Greek Islands Grill location on New Hampshire Avenue in Cloverly. After delays due to COVID, the restaurant finally opened its doors in April 2021. Now, owner George “Bear” Jarrell has informed us that his tenure will end on June 29, with the restaurant’s future remaining uncertain.

Honey Dip Delights, a family-owned food truck business, has become a beloved fixture at the Clarksburg Outlets and various events throughout Montgomery County. On Friday, despite a brewing thunderstorm, dozens braved the elements to savor the truck’s famous mini donuts during the Quince Orchard Knolls neighborhood “Food Truck Friday” event in Gaithersburg (photos below).
