The Lone Oak tree, a historic white oak that stood as a symbol of both the resilience and division of American history, has found new life at Lone Oak Farm Brewery in Olney. After the original tree, which the farm brewery is named for, fell in a powerful spring storm in 2023. Its legacy continues, both in spirit and in physical form, through a cloned version that has been planted on the property.

Earlier this year, California Fish Grill– a chain with approximately 50 restaurants in California and Arizona– noted that it was eyeing expansion to East Coast markets like Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. in the coming years.
