In 2024, Business Insider recently published a list of the best sandwich shops in every state according to Yelp, and Full On Craft Eats & Drinks was named the best in Maryland. Michelle Houser Harris, co-owner, chef, and manager at Full On Craft was a contestant on season 14 of the Fox reality show Hell’s Kitchen back in 2015.

This past summer we let you know that EDENS/Burtonsville Crossing has announced that “Playa Bowls will bring never ending summer to Burtonsville Crossing with delicious smoothies, açaí bowls, cold brews, and juices.” The shop owners were recently issued a $250k permit to construct the interior.
Back in January we let you know that Eggspectation, a restaurant that serves “elevated American cuisine with a lengthy all-day breakfast menu alongside hearty lunch and dinner fare”, is returning to Montgomery County with its upcoming Burtonsville location. “Early 2025” is now the anticipated opening timeframe for the Burtonsville location and additional locations in Annapolis and Columbia.

Back in September we let you know that L&L Hawaiian Barbecue will open its first Maryland location right here in Montgomery County at 785 Rockville Pike, Suite G, in the Ritchie Center (Rockville). The restaurant is now in its soft opening phase with a ‘first look’ video below.

Over the course of four days, during a trip to the cheesesteak capital of the world (Philadelphia, PA), we tried cheesesteaks at 18 different restaurants that are often mentioned as having “the best” cheesesteaks in the area- including the $140 cheesesteak from Barclay Prime. This past summer, Tara Thai closed its Rockville location at 12071 Rockville Pike in Montrose Crossing permanently. THAIROCK is now open in the space– a restaurant by the owners Thaisons, located in Falls Church, VA.
