UPDATE: MCPD found no active threats at Wheaton and Edison High schools. Lockdowns have been lifted at both schools.
Wheaton High School and Thomas Edison High School are both on lockdown Friday morning due to the report of an individual outside of the school campuses with a handgun.
The Forest Estates Farmers Market at Getty Park in Silver Spring will relaunch for its 14th year on Sunday, September 15, with a bi-weekly schedule through November.
