The Maryland State Police have released additional information regarding a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred Saturday night.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision that involved two vehicles and one pedestrian struck on I-270 Saturday night. MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer has stated that the pedestrian struck “seems to be a driver who ran from the crash scene and was struck”
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision that led to an overturned vehicle on southbound I-270 between Rt. 118 and Middlebrook Rd at approximately 5:20am Thursday morning.
Frederick County Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle fire and found a tractor-trailer fully engulfed when they arrived at the scene of I-270 South past Exit 26 MD 80.
Update: As of 8:42am, all lanes have reopened.
The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security (OEMHS) issued the following alert at 6:44am on Tuesday, April 2: “Overturned tractor trailer blocks the left two lanes of the Inner Loop of I-495 just before Exit 39 (River Rd/MD 190). This will be an extended incident that may persist through the morning commute. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.” (more…)
