Boris Josue Bonilla has been identified by family members as the man who was killed in a crash on the inner loop of I-495 at approximately 3am on Wednesday morning.

Alert Montgomery has sent out a notification stating that the “collision reconstruction investigation is blocking the three left lanes of the Inner Loop of I-495 at Exit 31 (Georgia Ave/MD 97). This may persist through the morning commute. Seek alternate route.” following an early morning crash.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the scene of a vehicle fire on southbound I-270 on Sunday evening at approximately 6pm.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) and State Troopers are responding to a bus on the outerloop of I-495 near Exit 30 (Colesville Rd.) in Silver Spring. At least three lanes are closed due to the crash. The crash occurred shortly before midnight on Friday night. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
Update: According to Maryland State Police, “At around 7:15pm last night in the area of NB 270, north of Watkins Mill Road, troopers responded to a crash that injured a Rockville Barrack trooper. Preliminary investigation indicates he was in his marked patrol vehicle with his emergency equipment activated, responding to assist another trooper who was investigating a suspected DUI crash. The trooper was struck by a Toyota Sequoia SUV while attempting to make a U-turn at the center median emergency crossover. The driver of the Sequoia was not injured. The trooper was transported to Suburban Hospital.” (more…)

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision with rollover on Sunday, May 19, in Bethesda.
According to the Maryland State Highway Administration, all northbound lanes of I-270 are now open at MD 109 following a fatal collision that occurred on Monday, May 13. There are still lanes closed on SB I-270 and traffic remains heavy.
