MCFRS crews responded to a vehicle fire Sunday night in Clarksburg involving a dump truck. In addition to the fire, crews had to deal with 11 inches of snow/sleet on the ground.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old.
A Montgomery County man won $450,000 in the January 17 Bonus Match 5 drawing after repeatedly playing the same set of numbers across nine combinations. Lottery officials said the winner plans to use the prize to fund his grandchildren’s college education, and the Clarksburg retailer that sold the ticket will receive a bonus for the sale. Bitez, a restaurant specializing in halal cuisine, has closed the location it opened in July at 13525 Clopper Road in Germantown’s Seneca Plaza, near Mamma Lena and Rio Grande. The restaurant has shared that it plans to move to a new nearby location in the future, but an address or date is not yet available.
