Updated at 2:45 PM: A Kimco representative informed us that Buca di Beppo’s lease is expiring, and the restaurant has chosen not to renew. Redevelopment of that part of the shopping center is not anticipated to start until at least 2026. My Gym, Orange Theory, and the post office all have current leases and are not expected to close in the near future.

Buca di Beppo at 112 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg has announced it will close on Sunday, June 23.


DMV

For the first time, Metro is inviting transit lovers across the region to come together for a family-friendly celebration. Metro Fest is a community event open to the public at no cost. The event will include arts and crafts, games, entertainment, snacks, water, and Metro-branded giveaways.

MCB Real Estate, a commercial real estate investment management firm with nationwide holdings, announced on Monday that it has purchased Takoma Park Shopping Center, located at 8750 Arliss St. in Takoma Park, MD. MCB acquired the property from an undisclosed private seller, represented by JLL.

Event

General admission is $25 per person, which includes chili tastings. Free Admission for kids under 18, Police Officers and their Family is provided by MCPF). All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s mission to strengthen community-police relationships, support officers wellness, and enhance public safety initiatives across Montgomery County.

In addition to delicious chili, attendees can enjoy local craft beer from Lone Oak Brewery, family activities, and opportunities to meet and interact with Montgomery County police officers in a fun, relaxed setting.
