Confidence continues to build around the potential for a significant winter storm across the DC region later this week into the weekend, according to updates from two of the area’s most-followed meteorologists.
The Victims’ Rights Foundation is calling on the community to donate new winter coats for children ahead of a potential snowstorm expected to impact the region.
The Montgomery College Foundation received a combined $250,000 in gifts from Bobbi and Larry Shulman and the Rockville-based law firm Shulman Rogers to support student programs and scholarships.

According to the National Weather Service, a wide-ranging winter storm is expected to produce large swaths of heavy snow, sleet, and dangerous freezing rain beginning Friday across the southern Rockies, Plains, and Mid-South. The storm will then shift eastward, impacting the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast through Sunday. Forecasters stress that with several days remaining, details will continue to evolve.
