A multi-vehicle crash on I-495 Southbound Outer Loop at the American Legion Bridge led to significant traffic disruptions early this morning, according to updates from the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC).

Catherine Ashley Hoggle, 38, of Clarksburg, has been indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children, Sarah and Jacob Hoggle, and was arrested in Kent County after being discharged from a state psychiatric hospital. (more…)
A few months back, Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and famous for his “One Bite” pizza reviews, visited Frank’s Pizza & Pasta at 6620 Belair Rd in Baltimore earlier this year to sample their offerings. After his visit, customers began lining up down the block before the restaurant opens, eager to savor the pizza and cheesesteak that Portnoy rated so highly. Today, we tried it.
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) announced another update to their plan to revamp secondary school magnets during their July 24 meeting after incorporating community feedback. Currently, their recommendation calls for a major overhaul to the current countywide and consortium-based magnet model with a new six-region structure beginning with the class of 2031. Students in graduating classes before then will be allowed to remain in the programs they are currently enrolled in.
