MoCo Government

The Montgomery County Council will meet on Tuesday, July 22 to present a proclamation recognizing Project SAFE, interview the nominee for deputy director of the Department of Housing and Community Affairs, receive a briefing on the County’s solid waste disposal strategy, and consider several zoning and subdivision amendments related to workforce housing, telecommunications, and land use.

Montgomery County has announced that the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will headline the free Silver Spring Jazz Festival on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Veterans Plaza. Bethesda

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating an attempted strong-arm carjacking of a rideshare driver on May 24 in the 8800 block of Rockville Pike in Bethesda and has released surveillance photos of three suspects, asking for the public’s help in identifying them. (more…)

The sale marks the end of an era for this beloved local chain, which once had a Rockville location at 1596-B Rockville Pike– the location that was also once home to Pizza CS.
