Join Kaiser Permanente for Healthy at the Harbor, a free community health and wellness event taking place Saturday, June 6, from 11 am to 4 pm at National Harbor in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Throughout the day, Kaiser Permanente nurses and physicians will offer no-cost health screenings, alongside a health and wellness expo focused on preventive care education. According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, Vipul Thakkar, 53, of Owings Mills, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Circuit Court to multiple charges, including theft and financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult, for his role in a gold bar scam targeting elderly victims. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has provided new details about the arrest of two individuals after a drug transaction, during which one suspect attempted to escape by ramming a police vehicle and was found with over two pounds of marijuana and a stolen handgun.
