Today, we turn our lens to the last five programs still waiting for their moment, four in the revamped 3A West and Poolesville, flying solo in 2A. In a display of community solidarity, friends, family, and residents have come together to support Ada Villatoro, raising over $8,000 in just two days through a GoFundMe fundraiser. Ada, a beloved figure in Silver Spring, Maryland, is well-known as the owner of El Golfo Restaurant, a cherished local establishment that has served as a gathering place for nonprofits, artists, musicians, and community members for many years.
Join artist Nora Naranjo Morse (Kha’p’o Owenge ([Santa Clara Pueblo]), creator of Always Becoming, and the community that cares for the museum’s ephemeral outdoor sculpture family, to learn about the project’s evolution over the past two decades, and what the future holds.
