Eastern Shore foliage has hit its peak for the season, bringing most of the state except for parts of Washington, Allegany, and Garrett Counties in Western Maryland (past peak) in peak foliage this fall, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).

Dominique Moore, 46, of Montgomery Village, pled guilty to six counts of child neglect for his six minor children in Montgomery County Circuit Court, facing a maximum of 30 years in prison, with a sentencing hearing set for February 5, 2025. His wife, Cynthia Moore, was recently convicted of the same charges and is scheduled for sentencing on January 22, 2025, following their arrests related to the death of their 17-year-old child in unsafe living conditions.
