Over a year ago we reported that Gyuzo Japanese BBQ would be taking over part of the old Mellow Mushroom location in Rockville Town Square.
Today we spoke with the owners and were told to expect an October opening.

The founders of Cava, Cava Mezze, and Julii are bringing their newest concept to Pike & Rose.
Melina, named after Chef Dimitri Moshovitis’ daughter, will open in the 909 Rose office building across from REI.
They offer nearly a dozen different types of pies, including a vegan option.

The Healthy Hub, a locally owned healthy smoothie & energy tea bar, opened a few weeks back in Poolesville.
It is located at 19961 Fisher Ave behind Poolesville Hardware, in the old Bob’s Bicycle location.
Park visitors will find “Picnic in the Park” signs that allow them to scan a QR code which directs them to the MoCo Eats website.
Nearby restaurants will populate based on location, users can then contact the restaurant directly by visiting their website or calling to place an order. Designated delivery zones allow visitors to meet the driver. Physical distancing circles will be available at selected parks.
Fish Taco has closed its Wildwood location temporarily after a kitchen fire.
The local fast casual chain has Moco locations in Bethesda Row and on MacArthur Blvd in Cabin John, in addition to a Tyson’s location.
Mandalay Restaurant & Cafe will remain in Downtown Silver Spring until mid-2021, according to a Facebook post from earlier this week.
In March 2019, the restaurant told us they’d be closing soon but didn’t have an exact date.
George’s Hotpot and BBQ in Gaithersburg (24 Bureau Dr.) has jumped into the seafood game.
The hotpot and bbq restaurant has added Cajun style seafood to cater to customers who aren’t quite ready to dine-in yet.

UPDATE: Due to covid-related delays, Naz’s Halal Food Will now have it’s Grand Opening in Friday, August 21st.

CB Açaí Bowls is having a soft opening today from 11am-4pm.
CB Açaí Bowls will feature açai/pitaya/smoothie bowls, smoothies, and limited juices.
Pike Seafood opened a couple weeks back at 11800 Nebel Street in Rockville, across from Pike & Rose.
They’re currently open on Saturdays from 11am-7pm, but plan to expand their days to include Friday and Sunday in the coming weeks.
