10:30am: Several lanes are blocked on Ridge Rd and Observation Dr in Germantown after a collision that involved several vehicles and a tractor trailer that was ran off the road.

HazMat is currently on the scene assisting the cleanup of spilled fuel, according to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer.


Damascus

The driver of the car that crashed into a building that is home to several commercial businesses (commercial limo company, spiritual healer, etc.) in Damascus has died, according to Fox 5.

The crash occurred at approximately 11pm last night on Main Street in Damascus, sparking a 2-alarm fire that required about 80 firefighters last night.

Santa may be visiting your Gaithersburg/Washington Grove, Rockville, Poolesville, Damascus, Hillandale, Sandy Spring, Cabin John, Takoma Park, Laytonsville neighborhoods as fire departments across the county will be guiding Santa through all the neighborhoods listed as well as surrounding neighborhoods.

MCFRS

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to a fire at Crisp & Juicy at 1331-G Rockville Pike on Wednesday morning.

The fire is reported to have been in the duct work of the building and the bulk of the fire has been knocked down, according to MCFRS Spokesperson Pete Piringer.


MCFRS

Four vehicles were involved in a collision that led to two of them catching fire on southbound I-270 on Thursday evening causing some lanes to be blocked, but no injuries.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue units quickly arrived on the scene to extinguish the fires that occurred in the area of the weigh station between Route 109 and Route 121.


Dickerson

Earlier this week we let you know about a homeowner on the 21000 block Big Woods Rd in Dickerson that accidentally burned their home down on November 23rd.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, the homeowner was attempting to use smoke as a way to manage a snake infestation. The hot coals being used were too close to combustible materials, causing the fire to start.

Update 1:05am, December 7: A man has died after being found unconscious in a house fire on Monday night.

Approximately 65 firefighters were on the scene of a house fire on the 6900 block of Anchorage Drive off of MacArthur Blvd in Bethesda/Cabin John at approximately 7:30pm earlier this evening.
