Silver Spring

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating, Rackeal Thompson, a missing 17-year-old from Silver Spring.  Thompson was last seen on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in the 600 block of Winona Court in Silver Spring. Thompson is approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. Thompson has short brown hair, brown eyes, a nose piercing and a tattoo on the right forearm. Thompson was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit, black shoes and carrying a black and gray backpack.  Police and family are concerned for Thompson’s welfare.

Germantown

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating, Jeremy Nathan Levitt, a missing 28-year-old from Germantown.

Levitt was last seen on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at approximately 11 p.m., walking in the 20500 block of Neerwinder Street.  Levitt is 5-feet, 6-inches and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown curly hair.  He was last seen wearing an unknown color baseball hat, a brown Carhart jacket, gray sweatpants and brown hiking boots.  Family and police are concerned for his welfare.


Silver Spring

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, Robbery Section, are investigating an armed robbery of a gas station that occurred on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

At approximately 7:37 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Exxon gas station in the 9300 block of Georgia Ave. The victim stated to officers that at approximately 6:42 a.m., a Black male, wearing a black Northface jacket with the hood up, black ski mask, black sunglasses, blue jeans, and dark colored shoes, entered the store and walked around.


Wheaton

Montgomery County Police responded to a call for a stabbing at approximately 12:25pm on Wednesday, April 5.  According to MCPD, “two adult males were arguing inside of a Metro bus. They both got off the bus near University Blvd West and Amherst Ave.  The male suspect stabbed the victim and ran away. There is no suspect in custody.  The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, where he later died. Officers have secured the area and are looking for the suspect. Major Crimes has responded to the location.

Amherst Ave. is shut down from University Blvd West to Reedie Dr. during this investigation. A news release will be distributed once more information becomes available, including the name of the deceased, following proper notification of next of kin.”


Rockville

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old from Rockville. Jamirah Frazier was last seen on Sunday, March 26, 2023, in the 500 block of College Parkway.

Jamirah is approximately 5-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jamirah Frazier is asked to call the police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Special Victims Investigations Division at (240) 773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.


Wheaton

Amherst Ave is shut down from University Blvd West to Reedie Dr. due to the investigation. Drivers should seek an alternate route.  Public safety reporter Cordell Pugh reports that an Off-Duty Montgomery County Police Officer aided the victim prior to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services arrival. Montgomery County Police, Metro Transit Police, and Montgomery County Park Police are all assisting. We will post an update when additional information is available.

Silver Spring

Per MCPD: Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District – Central Business District Team have arrested and charged 20-year-old Gregory Neverson of Upper Marlboro with illegal possession of a stolen handgun and possession with the intent to distribute Cannabis on Thursday, March 30, 2023.  At approximately 2:45 p.m., officers were conducting bicycle patrol at the Wheaton Metro Station when they detected the smell of marijuana and observed an individual, later identified as Gregory Neverson, smoking in public. Neverson handed over the marijuana cigarette as well as a bag containing suspected marijuana to the officers.

Neverson gave officers consent to a search of his person. While conducting the pat down, officers located a handgun in the right pocket of Neverson’s jacket.  Neverson then resisted arrest and ran away with the handgun towards to the rear area of apartments in the 11100 block of Georgia Ave. A concerned resident witnessed Neverson running away and told officers where Neverson was hiding.


Wheaton

Montgomery County Police responded to the 10900 blk of Georgia Ave (Fitzgerald Wheaton) around 12:15am on Tuesday, April 4. According to MCPD, “shortly after midnight, 4D officers responded to a commercial alarm activation at the dealership and discovered a smashed out window in the showroom.   The investigation showed the suspect break out a window.  He entered the dealership and stole keys to a car in the lot.   The suspect left with the stolen vehicle.”

DEALERSHIP SMASH-N-DASH BURGLARY: Fitzgerald Wheaton on Georgia Ave near Prichard Rd (Montgomery County, MD). ~12:15AM Tuesday, Officers found a shattered dealership window and damaged security fence. Police and staff working to determine if any autos were stolen. H/T @AlanHenney


Beyond MoCo

Through the investigation, detectives identified Martinez as the suspect and determined that Martinez had taken the child to Springfield, TN. On Monday, March 27, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Martinez, charging her with kidnapping related charges. Detectives notified the Springfield Police Department of the abduction and the arrest warrant against Martinez.


Colesville

Per MCPD: The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Colesville. At approximately 7:36 p.m., a white 2012 Honda Pilot was traveling westbound on Norbeck Road, just before Norwood Road, when it hit the curb and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, colliding with a white 2019 Honda Pilot traveling eastbound on Norbeck Road.

The driver of the 2019 Honda was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the 2012 Honda, 66-year-old Altai Khaltar of Derwood, was transported to an area hospital, where he later died. A third vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Rogue, was behind the 2019 Honda and suffered minor damages from debris caused by the collision. The driver of the Nissan was not injured. This is an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.


Olney

MCPD is on the scene of a barricaded person in the area of Shadow Ridge Ct in Olney. There is increased police presence, but the incident is contained to the one residence.
