Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream will open its second local shop in Bethesda’s Wildwood Shopping Center in late summer.

The 1,100-square-foot store, featuring small batch, locally sourced ice cream made with all-natural ingredients, will be located between Le Pain Quotidien and Wildwood Family Cleaners.


MoCo

Farmers markets in Montgomery County remain open for community-oriented, adventurous alternatives to grocery shopping.

Hosted in various large outdoor spaces throughout the county, tents are spaced to comply with social distancing guidelines so shoppers are able to support local businesses while getting a breath of fresh air. One such market is the Bethesda Market, which is known as one of the largest farmers markets in the region, and boasts over 50 vendors.


MoCo

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles today announced the County has achieved its benchmarks and will officially enter Phase 2 of reopening on Friday, June 19 at 5 p.m.

The County plans to continue with an incremental reopening, based on public health data. Phase 2 allows additional businesses and activities to start and/or increase modified operations under specified guidelines. The guidelines include:


North Bethesda

Per a press release by Federal Realty, Bark Social, the first “dog bar” in the Mid-Atlantic region, is coming to Pike & Rose!  According to the plans for Bark Social, there will be a professionally monitored off-leash dog park in addition to a space with a craft beer and coffee bar.  Bark Social will be open year round, as the space will be indoor/outdoor.

Bark Social plans to open in September and will be located at 935 Prose Street, which is adjacent to Rose Park and next to Julii and Jinya.
