(Located) Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Woman

Update: October 15, 2021 – Kanak Sharma has been located safe and unharmed.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Cold Case Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult female.

On Monday, September 20, Kanak Sharma, age 33, called and told her family that she was at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg. After this phone call, her family have not heard from her.

Sharma is 4-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs 87 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Police and family are concerned for her physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kanak Sharma is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Cold Case Unit at 240-773-5070.
