Dashcam Records Sunday Evening Crash That Closed NB 270 on Sunday Evening

A collision involving a tractor trailer (with several other collisions in the area) has sent one child to the hospital with a traumatic injury on Sunday evening, according to MCFRS PIO Pete Piringer.

The collision occurred at approximately 5:10pm, based on the time stamp on a dashcam video that recorded the crash. The video shows the tractor trailer swerving from the local lanes to the express lanes to avoid hitting a white SUV.

The good samaritan who drove the child to the hospital commented on Instagram that he attempted to call 9-1-1 for ten minutes without an answer and decided to drive the family to the hospital. He believes the boy will be ok. We received other messages of people who were able to get through to 9-1-1 to report the crash.
