Charik African Fashion will be opening soon at 520 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg, the former site of Carter’s.
The family owned African fashion store sells shoes, clothing, and accessories. The company previously had a location inside of Lakeforest Mall.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue units responded to a call for a fire on the 11300 block of Cloverhill Court in Kenp Mill at approximately 6:15pm on Monday.
Units arrived to find an outdoor storage unit (shed) on fire with the fire extending to the fence and nearby grass and bushes.
UPDATE: Christina Bobo has been located safe and unharmed.

Playa Bowls will open its fifth Montgomery County location at Chevy Chase Lake. Three residential developments are slated to be part of the Chevy Chase Lake development in Chevy Chase and the development is designed to be a walkable, mixed-use community with a town center and access to the Capital Crescent Trail.
It is located adjacent to Connecticut Avenue and the planned Purple Line transit system, which will provide an east-west connection between Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
