$50,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Sold at Local Beer & Wine Shop

A $50,000-winning Bonus Match 5 lottery ticket was recently sold at Party Time Beer & Wine (11443 Georgia Ave) in Wheaton. Full details below courtesy of the Maryland Lottery:

Monday’s Bonus Match 5 drawing turned into a money maker for a lucky player who bought a top-prize winning ticket from a Silver Spring retailer. Party Time Beer & Wine at 11443 Georgia Avenue in Montgomery County sold the $50,000 winning ticket in the Nov. 13 drawing. The lucky ticket matches the five numbers of 1, 12, 19, 32 and 33; the Bonus Ball was 8. Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The player has 182 days to claim the prize.This is the Lottery’s 28th top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in 2023.

The Silver Spring retailer also has reason to celebrate. The Lottery will give the store a bonus of $500 for selling a top-prize winning ticket in the game. Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment. Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win.”
