Police Respond to Fatal Collision Tuesday Night; Driver Found With Apparent Gunshot Wounds

Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to a collision in the 3600 block of Spruell Drive in Wheaton on Tuesday, November 28.

According to police, “2D officers were dispatched to the location at approximately 9:40 p.m., for the report of a single car collision. Upon arrival, officers located a sedan that hit a parked car.

Neighbors had pulled the adult male from the car and were attempting CPR when Fire Rescue arrived, observed apparent gunshot wounds and called police. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. More information will be released when it is available, including the name of the deceased. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
