Police Searching for Suspects Accused of Breaking Into Over 20 Vehicles


Per MCPD:
“Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Demarco Lyles of Silver Spring and Anthony Burno of Washington D.C., in connection to a string of theft from autos and vandalism in the Chevy Chase area.

Throughout the investigation, Lyles and Burno were developed as suspects in the theft from autos of more than twenty vehicles in the areas of Chevy Chase and Chevy Chase Village. In each instance, between May of 2023 and September of 2023, it is believed that the suspects forced entry into the vehicles stole property, and then left the scene.

On Saturday, December 9, 2023, detectives obtained arrest warrants for both suspects, charging them with multiple counts of theft, vandalism and theft scheme.
