Rockville Food Truck to Be Featured on ‘Signature Dish’ Television Program

Signature Dish, a television program on WETA PBS that discovers and reveals the standout dishes at a wide array of the region’s best restaurants, will feature Rockville food truck ‘Fire Pit Brazilian Barbecue’ in an episode highlighting South American cuisine this March.

Fire Pit opened its food truck at 804 Rockville Pike in the Golden Arcade shopping center (across from the Ritchie Center/IHOP) in Rockville in October 2022. Less than a year later, the family behind the truck announced it’s planning a second location at the upcoming Solaire Social Food Hall in Silver Spring. A video can be seen below of what our very own Mr. MoCo referred as possibly being his “favorite sandwich” from Fire Pit.

Signature Dish is in its second season of the show and has showcased restaurants all around the DMV. In Montgomery County, the show has previously featured Cielo Rojo (Takoma Park), Kuya Ja (Rockville area), Frankly Pizza (Kensington), Melina (Pike & Rose), Q By Peter Chang (Bethesda), Mansa Kunda (Takoma Park), and Seoul Food (Takoma Park). They will also soon be featuring Kantutas in Wheaton.

Signature Dish Producer/host Seth Tillman says, “I grew up in Chevy Chase MD and live in Silver Spring so it brings me great joy to be able to feature local restaurants in a place that I’ve grown up and lived in for decades” Fire Pit Chef/owner Gui Gonzalez said, “It’s a great privilege to be featured on the show and the first food truck on Signature Dish”.
