The North Bethesda community is holding a meeting regarding bringing a dog park back to the community. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 4th from 6pm-8pm at the Forum Condominium (11801 Rockville Pike).

The Board of Education held its third work session on the Fiscal Year 2026 operating budget with a focus on the superintendent’s planned restructure. In an update sent out on Monday morning, the Montgomery County Board of Education identified areas for possible savings in what was referred to as a tight budget year. Chef José Andrés’ Spanish Diner will close its doors on Wednesday, February 5. The restaurant, which opened in Spring 2021 at 7271 Woodmont Avenue in Federal Realty’s Bethesda Row, was formerly home to Jaleo and served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (more…)

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the scene of a crash involving a mini van and school bus on Snouffer School Rd. in Gaithersburg Monday morning.
This week will start off pretty warm with temperatures approaching 60° on Monday and in the low to mid 50s on Tuesday. The wintry mix we mentioned over the weekend is still a possibility as temperatures quickly cool down Wednesday. Tea-Do X Mochinut at 838 Rockville Pike enclosed permanently last October. The dual concept restaurant featured menus from chains Mochinut and Tea-Do Cafe. At the time a new business was promised and now we know that it will be Cuppa Tea.
Back in May 2024, we told you that Chef Wang’s Kitchen would be coming to 199 E Montgomery Ave in Rockville, the former location of California Tortilla. Now, signage is up for the upcoming restaurant.
Several employees reached out to let us know that Safeway will be closing its 1800 Rockville Pike store located on the ground level of the Galvan at Twinbrook complex. On Sunday morning, a store manager confirmed that the store was recently informed of its impending closure.
